My name is Patience Orhiere, I am a lawyer.
My reply is on the RAPE cases.
It is very sad to note that the issue of
Rape cases has increased in our society. What do u expect in a society
like ours were majority of its people are ignorant and do not know the
gravity of such offence, nobody wants to come forward to report,
cos they don’t want to be tagged or
called names. If only they realize that by coming forward they would
have saved others. I think as women we should create awareness, like
it is done in developed countries, lets
organise talk shows, TV
programmes, etc.
I know it will take time, but I believe it
is better to be late than be the late. From the look of things if
something is not done now, then the numbers are going to keep
increasing. Am replying from London, thanks so much for keeping me
posted. I take delight in reading every report, especially the very
ugly ones.
Thanks
